Hey guys, me again. Still trying to get my feet wet in terms of value in a 16 team dynasty league. Someone has offered David Price and wishes for certain prospect(s) from me. My idea was:
His David Price for my Jameson Taillon/Josh Bell
My current pitchers: Felix, Teheran, Shields, some SP5 types Other players he would consider: Bryant, Odor, G.Polanco, Nomar Mazara
Not sure if he would only take two for Price, but my salivation at having a super 4 is very tempting. What do you think?

I'd take it now and not look back. The deeper the league, the greater impact a legitimate star contributor like Price is (that's debatable, but it's certainly my opinion on the matter). Even if he wanted one of the other names of guys he'd consider, I'd probably still do it.

if you are playing to win next year then you jump at that deal. I have traded a who's who list of prospects for MLB stars (and very goods) and have rarely regretted it. The key is that Price is a star now.

Only losing Bryant would make me consider not getting Price.

Only losing Bryant would make me consider not getting Price. the same thing could have been said about my Wil Myers based trade for Chris Sale. Or jesus Montero based trade for Joey Votto. Not every top prospect for MLB'er trade works out like that but when you have guaranteed yourself an elite player then you win almost every time. it's possible that the other team can win also but never guaranteed.

It happens but more often than not prospects either bust or disappoint for awhile. The key is making sure that you are getting a top current player. I would try to keep Bryant out of the trade because I really like him.
