FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Korean shortstop Jung-Ho Kang will be posted next week. I want this Kang guy, 39 HRs is still 39 HRs. My A's, the Mess and Gnats are the interested parties right now

The Red Sox need even more offense. I hope they get him and play him at catcher.

It's hilarious that no-one knows who won the bid right now, not even the Korean team receiving the money. Makes me think it's Oakland as they're the most successful at keeping their business to themselves

Nah it's the 'National league team in downtown LA' - one day "it's Gordon is our SS" the next he's gone.

Perfect he'll love the weather hot and humid in the summer cold and snowy in the winter just like home although it probably won't smell quite as bad.

So what are the downsides to Kang? 5M is a relative bargain for a possible starter. Is it Korean comp? Is his bat not going to translate well up against MLB heat and breaking stuff? Is his defense questionable? there has to be a reason that he only got 5M.

Of course but the rumors are 5M for the posting and 4-5M/yr. Bargain. if he's a starter. But are we talking Ian Stewart, Will Middlebrooks, Trevor Plouffe, Mike Moustakas or Sean Rodriguez here.
