Andrew Miller to the Yanks wasn't an ideal move for my dynasty team since I own Miller, Betances and Robertson. I was holding out hope for all 3 to snag a closer job. Now Miller might be the closer but there is a little uncertainty with Betances. And Robertson is looking for a job still and hopefully won't be brought back to the Yankees.

My wild speculation:
Mariners sign Robertson, then trade Rodney for Ethier and a big chunk of cash to partially offset his salary.

Heard Astros offered Miller the most money and are going hard after Robertson to close.

Heard Astros offered Miller the most money and are going hard after Robertson to close. Doesn't Robinson have something like a $15 million option available to him this year? Just how much/long would Houston have to offer to get him to sign 4/50-60? I just don't see that happening but what do I know.

Robertson had a 15M qualifying offer that he declined so in addition to the money a team needs to give up a draft pick. I think someone is going to have to come in with 3/40 minimum but Robertson doesn't have a lot of bargaining power. The only thing I don't want to hear is that Robertson is headed back to the Yankees.

Robertson is only 29 so (with it not being late in his career) I don't think winning is that important. If Houston are top bid he goes there. Geographically, he's from Alabama.... so Atlanta, St Louis, the two Florida teams and Houston seem closest. I'd rule the Barves and Devil Rays out for $ reasons, so your list is St Louis/Miami/Houston

Houston won't even call Robertson's agent. Giving up a draft pick would go against their rebuilding and stockpiling prospects plan.
Jays, Mets, Rangers, White Sox, Mariners or Tigers could give him a shot I guess but nobody really wants to spend $$$$ and a draft pick on a closer. I wouldn't be surprised if he settles for Andrew Miller money (35-40M) but over 3 years. I'm going to put the Tigers and Jays at the top of the list but I haven't been listening to rumors or GM statements about what they will/won't do.

Houston have two protected top 10 picks this draft, I don't think they'll mind giving up their 2nd rounder for someone they really want. It'd probably save them money

Perhaps a different team but not one that has done everything to stockpile prospects and especially when that 2nd rd'er can be an overslot (mid/late 1st talent) because of the 2 top 10 picks.

I can live with Robertson going to White Sox and one of Miller/Betances closing for the Yanks. Including Perkins I have 3 closers in a 24 team league and didn't pay much for any of them.
