I'm in a dynasty league after taking over a team. I have a few meager choices for 1B in the upcoming year (and beyond). Who would you prefer as the top 3?
Mark Teixeira
Justin Morneau
James Loney
Logan Morrison
Ike Davis
Kendrys Morales
Grim, I know, but hopefully I'll be able to ride one or two of them and make a trade later. Thanks!

Thanks guys. I rostered Morneau and Tex to see how they work out early. If one of them bows out early, Morrison is my guy.

I agree with Mourneau over Tex, then Morrison. You can't even approach this with a 3-yr plan. I found myself in a similar situation with Ryan Howard at 1B for a team that I inherited. After 3 years I now have some options (Morneau/Vargas). It took some constant maneuvering.

I am hoping that Josh Bell, in my minors system and recently tabbed to try out at first base for the Pirates, might slip into that spot in the long run! |

Logan Morrison was at the top of my prospect lovin list for so many years. It would be interesting if he actually turned into a star now.
Personally I might throw back Teixeira and pickup another boom or bust prospect. You can start Morneau in the short term. Morrison is young with a little upside and could start if/when Morneau gets injured but if you are rebuilding then it makes sense to load up on guys that potentially could bust into the top 100 or top 25 on prospect lists someday.
