Got a pretty deep auction draft coming up tomorrow, curious which middle relievers you guys are targeting who can provide solid ratios/K rates and possibly work their way into a closer job.
I think the Giants are sticking with Casilla, but I don't think it would take a lot for Romo to take that job back. He looked really good in his last outing and has the ability to put up pretty ridiculous ratios and K numbers as a middle reliever even if Casilla doesn't falter.
Any others?

Giles is the obvious one. Still trying to figure out what role Cingrani will take on. I'm banking on Chapman getting moved at the deadline. Ottavino...Grilli if you're feeling lucky.

I did not fare so well in my 15-team mixed. We have both saves and holds. I obviously need to make a move or two and have some things break my way.
I have LaTroy, but did not pair him with Ottavino or Brothers.
I have Joakim Soria, Bobby Parnell, Joe Smith, and took a flyer on Cingrani.
I might try to trade for Farquhar, but I'd still be in a bad situation for saves. I was surprised how many teams went with three closers and no holds guys.

Good strategy might have been to punt saves and then take all the hold guys who are next in line for saves.

These guys all have huge K potential, should have solid ratios, and/or will be among the holds leaders with an outside shot at getting saves.
Tony Watson Zach Duke Aaron Barrett Jake Diekman Junichi Tazawa Jordan Walden

It's much harder to corner the market on holds guys since some MLB teams have two guys getting holds. A fluke in this auction occurred when Kelvin Herrera went for $11 only to see Wade Davis go for $2 in the end game. One of the big errors of my draft was overlooking Wade on my sheet - he was right there in front of me but I didn't see him and closed out my staff with Parnell. DOH

That's funny, as I actually asked someone at my draft who the heck he was, as I thought I knew a decent amount of players given draft prep. He's a Nationals reliever and, with Janssen injured early on, Barrett will likely help setup. In a limited season last year he threw more than a strikeout per inning pitched, though his ERA was above 2.5. Maybe he'll look sharper this year.

Barrett has nasty stuff and racks up the K's. I think he is the Nats most talented bullpen arm. Last year he had a bit of an issue with walks, but in his prior 3 seasons in the minors he showed above average control.
Like mashinspuds said, Janssen is out with a shoulder issues, and he kind of sucks anyway, so Barrett is likely to hold that 8th inning role if he does well at the beginning of the year.

Giles is looking more and more like Wild Thing this spring. No control, certainly no command.
The guy who nobody has mentioned is in Boston...Edward Mujica. Not a long term thing, but Koji just turned 40, so he could bea guy who gets you 5-8 SVs this year....maybe more if Koji goes down.
