Pitchers continue to drop like flies. We have already lost Darvish to TJ and now Zack Wheeler is done for the season. I missed this last season but he had some elbow discomfort (but clean MRI's). Basically at that point I consider pitchers to be on borrowed time and TJ is imminent. I know that Wainwright and Brett Anderson went the rest and rehab route and returned for a season or two before ultimately needing TJ. Ervin Santana back in 2008 or so is the only pitcher that I can think of that has actually avoided TJ surgery after straining the TJ ligament. Are there any others? I ask this question a lot and don't think anyone has ever found more than a couple examples. Who else went the rest and rehab route after straining their elbow? Tanaka Nolasco ? One I wasn't drafting because he is average in the absolutely best case. The other I'm not drafting because I'm not confident that he can avoid TJ this year although he was awesome last year.
