There's risk involved since he's neither the athlete that Cespedes, Puig and Soler are nor is he as proven as Abreu but this is a fair price for a player of his upside.

Just once I'd like to see the Mets get one of these guys. I know we'd get the Kaz Matsui of Cuban Sluggers, but hey, at least we'd be trying.

I know the Giants were in on this guy, and from what I've read, I'm glad they didn't get him. Now Yoan Moncado, yes please.

Moncado is going to be a fascinating case since there will be a 100% luxury tax (or something) on the signing and the signing team will be mostly shut out of signing int'l FA's (16 yr olds) for the next signing period. Not that big a deal for the 3-4 teams that are already way over the limit this year but that could eliminate some teams.

The home park makes him interesting. I'm with the others when it comes to Moncado. I'm also pretty eager to see what Jose Fernandez looks like; assuming someone signs him). He isn't talked about quite as much.

I love me that fine Cuban cigar. With Goldy on my main team I may just reach for this guy.
