Oakland stocking up on my "boys". During the season Adam Dunn, then Billy Butler, now Ike Davis. At the moment they have about 38 1Bs on their 40-man roster.
I think Butler is an amazing buy-low if they can get him healthy and happy (which B.Melvin seems to be skilled at doing). Before 2014 he had OBPs of .374, .373, .361 and .388. For $10mil? Yes

It's like he secretly has a challenge of how many non-fielders can the roster have.
