the walking dead is back to kicking ass. I'm concerned that they are going to fall into the trap of needing to one up itself every episode instead of building to midseason and end of season climax.

I'm also enjoying this season of The Walking Dead thus far.
There's also been some quality episodes of The League so far this season, including last week. Basically, any time Rafi is sporadically in an episode, it's Gold -- although the Rafi-centric episode this season I thought was just awful.
I'm also really surprisingly enjoying Gotham. For something that is sliding into the 'our show' territory, I could certainly do a lot worse. I find myself always interested in what is going to happen next week. I need less Bruce Wayne, though. If they can keep the villains interesting and compelling, without having to go to the well on a weekly basis, I can see it doing well. I can't wait for Jada Pinkett to die, though, and hope it's soon. Keep the mob stories going strong, and sprinkle in the classic Batman lore here and there.

I'm downloading The Richard Pryor Show (1977) off the back of seeing a funny sketch on youtube. Update to follow. Shame it's only 4 episodes

Shame it's only 4 episodes I didn't receive the whole series, but the Richard Pryor show was very hit and miss. Some good sketches like To Kill A Mockingbird and star wars bartender can be seen on youtube Currently up to season 5 of Man About The House and if you love 1970s British tit-and-bum humour, this is for you.

Re: Homeland, as I've been told, the show essentially peaked in Season 1, and is just a horrible disappointment, ultimately (I have zero context for this, as I've never seen 5 minutes of it). You consort with morons. I'm being told that Season 4 has Homeland back to a legitimate "best show on television" consideration, on par with Season 1. Holding strong that Seasons 2 & 3 were coat hanger abortions, though.

This season, Homeland has become the show 24 always wished it could be. You just have to stick it out through a slow start.
