The Red Sox are a bit of a mystery to me right now, but maybe that's because they still have deals to make.
Is Allen Craig really on their bench full-time? As of Dec 18, Rotoworld was reporting that the Sox were looking to deal him (but couldn't expect much due to his deal).
Can Bogaerts really hang on to the job? If he hits .240 with an OBP under .300 again, wouldn't they move Hanley to SS?
How annoying (in fantasy) will their OFers be with ABs? Right now they have four with Hanley, Rusney, Victorino, and Betts. Will any of them be truly full-time?
Speaking of Hammy Ramirez, it looks like some roster depth might be good for the Sox. With guys like Hanley, Panda, Victorino, Pedroia, etc. there might be lots of days of rest and/or DL time.
My personal stake in this is that I have both Rusney and Mookie on extremely friendly contracts, but our freeze list is very limited and I'm fielding offers. It sounds here like Mookie is one to hold on to: Mookie plus will likely qualify in the infield at some point (5 games).
Thawtz on Sawx?

I have to think they are still going to try and trade hitting for pitching but they might have painted themselves in a corner.
Agreed on this. The Sox still have a starting rotation that hardly instills confidence for an entire season, so I bet they still plan to do something drastic such that all the Lester lovers come out again and complain about what could have been. They may break the bank for Scherzer (doubt it), trade multiple pieces for Hamels (thus breaking up all sorts of logjams) and/or sign Shields (for more than most think he's worth).
They better keep Bogaerts at shortstop for at least half of the season, because I doubt the Sox are truly in contention at this point so they might as well see what the big time prospect can do. As for the outfield, I imagine that either Victorino or Betts are the odd men out for the third outfield spot, so if there is a trade for Hamels that loose end is heading to Philly or elsewhere. Still, given Victorino and Craig's penchant for injury, having them as platoon/bench bats are quite the luxury.
