At least you're in the playoffs every year. Try having it real tough and be a Yankees fan.

Retiring just as the MLB proposes putting clocks on pitchers. Coincidence? hes a free agent, and think i saw where he was expected to miss most of next year cus of surgery. I guess some team could pick him up as a pen arm at age 36, but im guessing he didnt even know of the clocks on pitchers experiment going on in the AFL. Its possible of course, but i doubt it.

I don't recall where I read it but the 5 or 6 things that they would introduce to save time would only save an average of extra 8 minutes per game, and they were all stupid ideas imo.

I want a limit of 2 pickoff attempts per batter. Probably isn't going to save a lot of time but it will increase my enjoyment watching games immensely.

After the 2nd attempt, the runner can just lead off like half way to 2nd and the pitcher isn't allowed to do anything about it?

One of my favorite Dodger memories. September 2006. The D0Dgers and Padres were fighting for the division (which SD ultimately won) & had a huge 4-game set at Dodger Stadium. It was a back and forth match and the fans started going home ... until ....

Was that Hoffman pitching? The first two (Kent and JD Drew) were off of Jon Adkins. Russell Martin and Marlon Anderson (yes, Marlon Anderson) went deep on Hoffman's first two pitches. Rudy Seanez gave up the game winner to Nomar.
